About This Role
The Senior Pricing and Access Consultant at Parexel Access Consulting plays a pivotal role in shaping the market access and pricing strategies for pharmaceutical products. This position is integral to the successful commercialization of products, providing strategic insights and support to clients. The consultant will develop payer and market access-focused communications, align evidence generation and economic evaluation with pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies, and ensure products are strategically positioned in the market.
Essential Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in pricing and market access, preferably within a consulting environment.
- At least 3 years of project management experience in pricing and market access, health technology assessment (HTA), and literature review projects.
- Experience in managing large written communication-based projects, such as global value dossiers.
- Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical market and its dynamics.
- Strong track record of timely and high-quality project delivery, with demonstrable experience in producing client-ready deliverables.

Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to manage personal and team schedules to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple work-streams and lines of communication simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and flexible, with the ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing demands.
- Proven client-facing skills and exceptional communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Proficient computing skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 or above in a life science discipline; a higher degree is desirable.

- Active membership in relevant industry and/or scientific/technical associations for self-development and staying current within the industry.
- Participation in internal initiatives/projects or serving as a mentor as requested by management, focusing on continuous improvement and professional development.
Day-to-day Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Project Execution
- Lead the development of comprehensive materials supporting pricing and market access, including global value dossiers, health technology appraisals, payer-focused value stories, competitor landscape assessments, and advisory board materials.
- Mentor and guide a team in the creation of these materials, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Serve as the primary Parexel client contact during projects, advising clients on their needs and providing strategic insights.
- Craft compelling project scopes, plans, and deliverables, securing agreement from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Acquire and apply in-depth knowledge of various disease areas to strategically position products in the market.
- Assist clients in developing product value messaging and communication strategies, offering consultancy and advice to understand the disease, clinical landscape, and market dynamics.

Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate and manage client relationships effectively, ensuring scope and expectations are controlled within projects.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for future projects, expanding the client base and project portfolio.
- Exemplify leadership in client presentations and project delivery, adhering to quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards.
Team Management
- Manage and mentor junior team members within project teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Foster a positive working environment by motivating, supporting, and managing project teams, while maintaining open communication with senior levels.
Financial Governance
- Oversee the financial governance of projects, including regular monitoring and tracking of project finances to ensure profitability and adherence to budget constraints.
