About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at HMP Nottingham within the Primary Care Team. We are looking for an individual who possesses a caring, positive attitude and is dedicated and conscientious. Good communication abilities, compassion and organizational skills are paramount. The candidates will have the ability to lead by example and work well in a team. A strong interest in working with prisoners is essential.
About HMP Nottingham
HMP Nottingham is a Category B training prison and is built to accommodate around 1100 males aged 18 and over.

We are a warm and friendly team who pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of care. The successful candidates will benefit from an extensive supernumerary induction period, alongside regular supervision and appraisals and be encouraged to undertake training.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the provision of research-based high-quality care to patients in HMP Nottingham in accordance with local and national policies.
- Undertake various duties within HMP Nottingham including acting as a responder to emergencies, screening patients in reception and on the wings, triaging patients and holding nurse-led clinics.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and set an example to junior staff through their own behavior and attitude at all times.
- Oversee the provision of day-to-day healthcare services in the absence of the clinical lead.
- Participate in audits, research and project work as requested.
- Be responsible for supervising and supporting junior staff/students and support their development and education.
- Develop and support the concept of change, contributing ideas whilst demonstrating an awareness of prison issues.
