Role Overview

You’re a pro who wants to influence the future of technical architecture and our team is looking for people like you.

The Cloud Foundational Services (CFS) Product Line, a part of Infrastructure Platforms, acts as the focal point across all of JPMC's cloud capabilities. It provides the central suite of tools and APIs that manage access to public cloud capabilities in a secure and compliant manner, defines the developer experience to bind cloud resources into a coherent ecosystem and, in partnership with both Enterprise Technology Product Lines and Lines of Business, drives the adoption and best practices for the implementation of cloud capabilities.

As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Cloud Foundational Services, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for the Atlas enterprise cloud platform. This role will focus on providing architectural guidance and designing tooling to support efficient line-of-business adoption of public cloud offerings including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

Job Responsibilities

  • Guides architectural decisions for the JPMC enterprise cloud platform and advises tenant applications on effective workload placement across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Works across partner teams and lines of business to make the enterprise platform the best possible cloud platform for JP Morgan and a leading platform in the financial services industry
  • Evaluates and assesses new AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud technologies in the light of the evolving requirements of lines of business as they grow, providing feedback and proposing improvements to architecture governance practices
  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors and serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in optimal workload placement across public clouds
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Leads reuse-first adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis, option evaluation, and delivery of strategic global solutions, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Establishes portfolio-level guardrails for AI-assisted and agentic workflows used in architecture and engineering governance, including traceability/auditability and control expectations aligned to resiliency and security standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
