Senior / Principal Civil Engineer
Location: Guildford | Hybrid Working
Salary: Competitive + Bonus & Benefits
Type: Permanent, Full Time
I'm working with a growing engineering consultancy who are looking to add a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to their team in Guildford.
The business works across the UK on development-led projects, providing transport planning and infrastructure design services to both public and private-sector clients.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer who wants to take more ownership of projects, work closely with clients and have a clear route to progression within a growing team.
The Role
You'll be involved in the design and delivery of a range of development infrastructure projects, with responsibilities including:
- Leading the design and delivery of development-focused civil engineering projects
- Producing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
- Designing highways and drainage infrastructure
- Using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage to develop and analyse designs
- Managing projects, programmes and technical deliverables
- Working closely with clients, planning authorities and other project stakeholders
- Providing technical input and practical engineering solutions across projects
- Supporting and mentoring more junior engineers

About You
We're looking for a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer with strong experience in development infrastructure, particularly highways and drainage. You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong experience within a consultancy environment
- Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
- Good knowledge of highways and drainage design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
- Strong project management and client-facing skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Chartered status, or working towards Chartership, would be advantageous
