Senior / Principal Consultants: £50,000 – £80,000. Yearly bonus + Hybrid Working: Depending on experience.
Overview:
We are seeking talented and motivated Enterprise, Solution and Technical Architects to join our growing Architecture Practice.
We are building a broad and diverse architecture capability and are keen to hear from individuals across a range of disciplines, including Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Data Architecture, Integration Architecture and Platform Architecture.
Our architect’s partner with clients to define technology strategy, shape future-state architectures and oversee the delivery of complex transformation programmes. You will work across the full architecture lifecycle, from strategic discovery and business alignment through to solution design, implementation support and continuous improvement, helping organisations realise value through modern technology, data and digital services.
We operate across both public and private sectors, including defence, central government, local government, financial services and critical national infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture
- Develop enterprise-wide technology strategies, roadmaps and target architectures
- Align business goals with technology capabilities and investment decisions
- Assess current-state architecture landscapes and define future-state operating models
- Facilitate architecture governance and design authority activities
- Support capability mapping, business architecture and strategic planning
- Establish architecture principles, standards and reference architectures
Solution Architecture
- Design end-to-end solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements, including resilience, performance, interoperability and appropriate security considerations.
- Translate business needs into logical and physical solution architectures
- Produce high-quality architecture artefacts, including diagrams, decision records and technical specifications
- Ensure solutions integrate effectively with existing platforms and services
- Support agile delivery teams throughout implementation
- Manage architectural risk, trade-offs and technical decision-making
Technical & Cloud Architecture
- Design scalable, secure and resilient supportable cloud-native solutions
- Define infrastructure, platform and application architectures
- Support migration and modernisation initiatives across legacy and cloud environments
- Establish engineering standards, patterns and automation approaches
- Provide assurance on technical designs and implementation practices
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation and modern engineering practices.

Integration, Automation & Emerging Technology
- Design modern data platform architectures
- Define integration patterns, API strategies and event-driven architectures
- Support the effective integration of applications, platforms and services
- Support data governance, analytics and AI-enabled transformation initiatives
- Promote responsible adoption of AI, automation and emerging technologies
- Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through technology innovation
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops and architecture reviews
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Mentor consultants, engineers and junior architects
- Contribute to business development, bids and capability growth initiatives
Skills and Experience:
Architecture & Design
Experience in one or more of:
- Enterprise Architecture
- Solution Architecture
- Technical Architecture
- Cloud Architecture
- Data Architecture
- Integration Architecture
- Platform Architecture
Demonstrable experience delivering architecture services across large-scale transformation programmes.
Cloud Platforms
Experience with one or more major cloud platforms:
- Microsoft Azure
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Knowledge of:
- Cloud adoption frameworks
- Landing zones
- Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures
- Cloud governance and cost optimisation
- Knowledge of cloud governance, operational controls and well-architected practices.
Infrastructure & Automation
Experience with:
- Terraform
- Bicep
- CloudFormation
- Infrastructure as Code
- Configuration management
- CI/CD pipelines
- GitHub
- Azure DevOps
- GitLab
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of DevOps, automation and modern engineering practices

The suitable candidate will need National Security Vetting (NSV) security clearance. They will preferably already hold NSV clearance to a high or very high standard but must be able and willing to achieve it.
Role Location:
This role is a full-time position (40 hours/5 days a week)
Our consultants are expected to work in a hybrid environment, in accordance with our clients. We require our people to be within an easily commutable distance of our Bristol office and to be able to co-locate at our client locations, which are typically 50 miles of Bristol or along the M4 corridor. New clients are always coming on board, and we require our consultants to be able to work flexibly and wherever this work requires.
