Climate17 is working with a leading environmental and social consultancy to recruit a Senior / Principal Consultant into its expanding Environmental & Social Advisory team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing consultancy supporting lenders, investors, and developers on complex international infrastructure and development projects. Working across Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), and wider advisory services, you will help clients understand and manage environmental and social risks while enabling responsible investment decisions.

You will lead the delivery of technically challenging projects, manage client relationships, contribute to business development, and mentor colleagues, playing an important role in the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead international ESIA and ESDD projects.
  • Deliver environmental and social assessments, due diligence, and technical reports.
  • Manage project teams, programmes, and budgets.
  • Provide commercially focused environmental and social advice.
  • Build strong relationships with lenders, investors, and developers.
  • Support proposal writing and business development.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team growth.

About You

You will have:

  • A relevant degree.
  • Seven or more years' environmental and social consultancy experience.
  • Strong knowledge of international environmental and social standards and lender requirements.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial awareness and business development experience.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
