Senior Principal Cost Control / Cost Manager

Are you an experienced Cost Control professional looking to influence the delivery of some of the world's most complex energy projects?
Our client is a globally recognised engineering and construction contractor with an outstanding track record delivering major offshore, subsea, LNG and energy infrastructure projects. Renowned for technical excellence and project execution, they continue to secure high-profile international work and are seeking a Senior Principal Cost Control / Cost Manager to join their Project Controls leadership team on a 12 month contract (renewable) working 3 days in the office and 2 WFH.

The Opportunity
This is a strategic role where you'll drive project financial performance from award through to close-out, working directly with Project Directors and senior stakeholders on large-scale EPC projects.
Responsibilities
- Leading cost management, forecasting, reporting and monthly EAC development
- Managing project change control, risk and opportunity management (PROM) processes
- Monitoring project costs, revenues and contractual commitments to ensure commercial success
- Supporting contract administration, claims management and commercial negotiations
- Providing financial and contractual guidance to project leadership teams
- Overseeing project controls systems, governance and reporting requirements
- Supporting bid activities and future project planning efforts
- Mentoring and leading project controls personnel within a matrix organisation

About You
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction, Business or a related discipline
- 12+ years' experience in Cost Control, Cost Management or Project Controls
- Strong EPC contractor background within the oil & gas sector
- Proven experience managing forecasting, cost reporting, change management and project risk
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
- Experience supervising teams within a matrix environment
- Familiarity with Primavera P6
