Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)
📍 Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working Available)
💼 Position: Permanent | Full-Time
We're looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading Building Services team in Bristol, delivering innovative mechanical designs across a diverse range of projects including commercial, healthcare, education, transport and public sector developments.
The Role
You'll lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams from concept through to completion.

- Designing HVAC, heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
- Producing mechanical specifications, calculations and equipment schedules.
- Using industry-standard software including Revit, IES VE, Hevacomp and NBS.
- Attending client meetings and carrying out site surveys.
- Managing project delivery, budgets and technical outputs.
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- A degree in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered status (CEng) with CIBSE or IMechE, or working towards it.
- Experience within a Building Services consultancy or contractor design environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently.
