Senior/ Principal Medical Writer - Medical Communications
Hybrid, London (2 days a week in the office)
This is a great opportunity to join a growing London team, working on high-profile accounts with leading pharmaceutical and biotech clients, with clear progression for experienced writers.
The Opportunity
A well-established, award-winning healthcare communications agency is growing its scientific team in London following new account wins and continued client growth.
The role suits an experienced Medical Writer who enjoys a varied mix of work. You'll cover promotional, medical education and congress activity across a range of therapy areas. The level is flexible, so the role will be shaped around your experience, whether you're an established Senior Writer or already working at Principal level. You'll join a supportive, collaborative team with a genuine focus on development.

- Write and develop high-quality content across a range of deliverables, including promotional materials, medical education, congress activity and HCP-facing content.
- Work across a variety of therapy areas, with a focus on rare disease and neurology.
- Support UK and global clients, including US-based accounts.
- Provide scientific input into content plans and client programmes, with greater strategic ownership at a more senior level.
- Review and quality check content, maintaining a high standard of scientific accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor and support more junior writers within the team.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contributing to and leading scientific discussions.
- Work closely with account teams and senior leadership to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
About You
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine or another relevant scientific discipline (MSc or PhD desirable).
- Significant medical writing experience within a medical communications or healthcare advertising agency, at Senior level or above.
- Promotional medical writing experience, ideally alongside medical education or congress work.
- Experience across a range of therapy areas.
- A good working knowledge of industry codes and compliance (e.g. ABPI).
- Confidence working with clients and managing review cycles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
