About GPTS
GTPS is a specialist psychology and multidisciplinary mental health service for people who have experienced complex traumatic events and who are experiencing CPTSD at the moderate to severe end. We also hold national contracts for supporting the mental health needs of adult victims of trafficking and in-care survivors.
Development Opportunity
We have an exciting development opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist to lead on the delivery of national contracts within the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service (GTPS). This post offers a significant opportunity to shape and influence the delivery of high-quality psychological care for victims of human trafficking and in-care survivors.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a range of partnership organisations
- Provide specialist psychological assessments for individuals who have experienced human trafficking and exploitation and in-care survivors
- Support access to appropriate care pathways, including psychological therapy and wider support services
- Support staff to deliver psychologically informed and trauma-informed care
- Provide specialist advice, training, and consultation to colleagues involved in the delivery of support and psychological therapies within a matched stepped-care model
- Supervise staff delivering psychological interventions
- Contribute to the provision of a high-quality, evidence-based clinical psychology service
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the wider GPTS, including participation in service development, research, and audit, in line with service priorities
- Develop a specialist clinical interest (continued professional development is strongly supported)

Requirements
- Registered with the HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist
Working Pattern
- 5 days a week between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (exact hours/days to be agreed)
- Requires PVG scheme membership
