Job Requirements

Role Overview

We have requirements for individuals looking to take the next step in their career development, within the Systems Engineering organisation, based on skillset and experience. Role will be based at one of our customer sites in Luton, 4 days a week due to the classification of the project.

Job Responsibilities

As a systems engineer responsibilities may include but not limited to the following:

  • Generation of system documentation required as part of the life cycle of the project
  • Development and refinement of system and subsystem level requirements
  • Provision of requirements management on assigned subsystems
  • Features ownership and development in agile environment.
  • Communicating the system designs to the product owner, Project Design Authority and Engineering Manager
  • Generation of interface control documentation.
  • Generation of Test documentation
  • Support the acceptance of the solution internally and externally to the customer
  • Ensuring that solutions are ready to enter design reviews
  • Interfacing and supporting the software and hardware team in system engineering activities and technical workshops
  • Support customer meetings when required
  • Support the technical management of subcontractors and generate the required documentation when needed.
  • Support Quest Global in growing its system engineering capability
  • Provide support to the Quest Global site lead in providing project and system engineering expertise when its needed
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures (including the Business Management System);

Work Experience

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Mandatory

  • Exposure to the majority of Project/Product life cycle milestones
  • Experience in working using agile methodologies
  • Experience in requirement management
  • Experience in internal Stakeholder management
  • Experience of verification and validation (V&V) activities to achieve acceptance
  • Exposure to systems integration and/or test experience of complex, high-reliability systems
  • Experience/knowledge of requirements management in DOORS
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplined Engineering teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to generate high-quality documentation (Interface documentation, test specifications, procedures & reports)
  • Experience in producing documentations and being involved in design reviews such PDR, CDR and TRR

  • Experience in using Azure Dev ops
  • Leading a technical team through design reviews
  • Work package leadership

Qualifications

  • HND/HNC, degree (BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng) in a relevant STEM-based subject or equivalent experience.
  • UK citizenship is mandatory to be able to clear the background checks and obtain SC clearance
  • Current valid SC clearance would be an advantage
