About the Role
The Senior Printwear Designer leads the development of high-performing merchandise stores for Teemill’s highest value VIP partners, turning strong creative direction into commercially successful product ranges and ecommerce stores that generate significant revenue.
This role is responsible for designing apparel graphics, building product catalogues, and managing merchandise stores on the Teemill platform for priority partners and high value accounts including own brands. From creating standout print designs through to shaping product ranges and store merchandising, the Senior Designer plays a key role in driving store performance.
Success in this role will be measured by the revenue performance and growth of the stores and product ranges managed, using ecommerce metrics such as product sales, conversion rate and overall store performance to optimise ranges and identify new opportunities.
Senior Designers are also expected to proactively spot trends and product opportunities that can unlock new revenue across stores and partnerships.
The role will mentor and manage a Junior Designer, ensuring team members adhere to internal creative processes and that the creative schedule is effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides coaching in the training and development of Graphic Designers, this can range from internal processes, KPIs and how to use the Teemill platform and improvement of individual design skills and knowledge.
- Ensures that the quality of designs being produced by the team are at the expected standards, are on brand and to brief and captures commerciality best practices
- Keeps the design schedule organised - booking in creative briefs, relaying delivery information to stakeholders and tracking creative resource spend
- Ensures that internal processes are being followed and contributing to the improvement of processes.
- Reviews all submitted briefs and ensures that the project is commercially viable and that the design team has all the relevant assets and information in order to complete the brief
- Contributes creative content, focussing on higher value VIP partnerships
Experience
- 3+ Years experience designing merch for retail, or similar experience in a professional creative agency
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Leadership experience
Skills
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking with the ability to develop distinctive apparel prints that stand out in the market.
- Deep understanding of design trends, cultural signals, and search demand that influence successful apparel products.
- Ensure we're embracing and leveraging AI strategically to embed best practice into the system Ability to use search trends, keyphrase data, and market insight to inform product concepts, and always implement best practice in this area.
- Proactive in adopting and leveraging new technologies that can improve design workflows and output.
- Confident understanding of ecommerce metrics such as ad click-through-rates, conversion rate, traffic, sales data, and able to implement improvements that drive significant store success.
- Proven ability to create high-performing marketing assets including ad creatives, campaign graphics, and social visuals.
- Strong understanding of how creative impacts traffic, engagement, and conversion in e-commerce.
- Ability to merchandise products effectively through strong photography, mockups, and compelling product presentation.
- Ability to analyse product performance and replicate or evolve successful design concepts.
- Strong collaboration with marketing and merchandising teams to align product creation with commercial opportunities.
- Ability to mentor junior designers and help raise the overall creative standard of the team.
- Confident using new creative tools and technology to improve design quality, speed, and experimentation.

Qualifications
- BA hons degree in relevant field or experience in a commercial design role with a high-quality
- 3+ years experience in the design team at Teemill or at a similar role in a professional design environment.
