Role Overview

The Private Banking Relationship Manager will be responsible for supporting our Private Wealth Management division. The incumbent will primarily manage Private Banking relationships for high-net-worth individuals and have overall responsibility for the development of new relationships which involve the sale and servicing of credit, deposit products, and wealth management services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Attend to the needs of private banking and wealth management customers primarily seeking consumer loans, commercial loans, lines of credit on an unsecured or secured basis, and deposit products.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to internal partners in the Commercial and Consumer divisions, as well as for external centers of influence for wealth management services including investment management, financial planning, Trust, and brokerage services.
  • Call on prospective clients, as well as medical, legal, tax, and other professional service providers to develop new relationships, retain existing business, and promote additional services to current clients.
  • Interview customers and prospects to develop information concerning their needs and financial condition to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk and make decisions on loans and terms if within their own lending limits.
  • Serve as Co-Advisor with in-house Investment Advisors to determine whether professional money management services are, and continue to be, appropriate for the client.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory, economic, and financial market trends, the Relationship Manager will actively participate in community functions and continue to expand their knowledge in all Private Banking and wealth management services including credit, risk management, investments, financial planning, fiduciary, and insurance as well as real estate, retirement, and tax planning.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance related field. CFP, CTFA, MBA, JD is preferred.
  • Series 6 or 7 licenses are highly desired.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of commercial lending, Private Banking, or wealth management experience.
  • Knowledge of key financial, investment, and fiduciary concepts along with a strong knowledge of commercial, consumer loan, and deposit products.
  • Must be able to travel within the Bank’s footprint to branch and wealth management locations and visit customers.
  • Results-oriented, sales aptitude with demonstrated ability to achieve organizational and business goals.
  • Must be self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have excellent listening and presentation skills.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving ability.

Salary Range

$111,440.00 - $183,082.25

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.

In addition to base salary, WSFS Financial Corporation (WSFS) and its subsidiaries may offer eligible Associates discretionary and formula-based incentive and retention awards.
