A well-established, mid-sized private credit fund is looking to hire a Senior Loan & Fund Operations professional to join its growing investment operations platform.
The role sits at the intersection of loan operations, fund operations, and fund accounting, providing broad exposure across the operational lifecycle of the firm's private credit investments and funds. The CFO is particularly interested in candidates who bring a strong loan operations background combined with exposure to fund operations or fund accounting. This could be an excellent opportunity for someone who has developed a broad understanding of private markets operations and is looking for greater responsibility and exposure within a lean, sophisticated investment platform.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational lifecycle of private credit investments, from transaction execution and settlement through ongoing servicing and portfolio activity.
- Coordinate loan settlements, drawdowns, repayments, interest, fees, amendments, and other investment-related events.
- Manage and reconcile investment positions, cash movements, and portfolio activity.
- Work closely with Fund Accounting on NAV, portfolio data, income, accruals, and investment-level reconciliations.
- Support fund-level cash management, capital activity, and investor-related operational processes where required.
- Liaise with administrators, loan agents, borrowers, lenders, banks, and other external counterparties.
- Review loan documentation and ensure operational and accounting processes accurately reflect underlying terms.
- Investigate and resolve cash, position, transaction, and accounting breaks.
- Partner closely with the Investment Team, Finance, Treasury, and Fund Operations.
- Assist with reporting, controls, and process improvements as the platform continues to scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
