Senior Private PA / Executive Assistant to CEO
Location: Central London
Salary: £70,000 plus per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 9:00am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday
Start date: As soon as the right candidate is available
Languages: Fluent English required; spoken French is an advantage
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Private PA / Executive Assistant to work within a private household in Central London, supporting a CEO who is based in Switzerland and travels frequently.
This is a substantial, independent role combining private PA duties, executive support, and financial administration. You will manage a varied workload largely on your own, take ownership of tasks from start to finish, and ensure that important details are checked and followed through.
The successful candidate will be discreet, highly organized, and comfortable working in a private home. You will anticipate requirements, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment about when to act independently and when to seek approval.
Key Responsibilities
Private PA and Executive Support
- Manage complex diaries, appointments, meetings, correspondence, and day-to-day priorities.
- Coordinate travel and related arrangements, checking details carefully and taking account of established preferences.
- Provide administrative support across the CEO’s business, personal, and family matters.
- Prepare reports, documents, spreadsheets, and briefings to a high standard.
- Liaise with advisers, suppliers, and service providers, following matters through to completion.
- Maintain accurate records and organized electronic filing systems.
- Identify scheduling conflicts, missing information, and potential problems early, and propose practical solutions.

Financial Administration
- Maintain budgets, expenditure records, and accurate financial spreadsheets.
- Undertake day-to-day private and business bookkeeping and reconciliations.
- Prepare payments for approval and monitor their completion.
- Organize financial documents and information for accountants and other advisers, including material required for VAT returns.
- Track outstanding invoices, payments, and financial queries, escalating anything that requires a decision.
About You
- A minimum of five years’ relevant experience as a Private PA, Executive Assistant, or Family Office Assistant supporting a senior executive or principal.
- Experience working in a private household or managing substantial private affairs alongside executive responsibilities.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage a demanding workload, and take responsibility for results.
- Strong numerical ability and practical experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, or financial administration.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with confident and professional communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when handling travel, schedules, and financial information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to remain composed when priorities change.
- A high degree of integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
- A strong employment history supported by verifiable professional references.
- An undergraduate degree is preferred. Spoken French would be welcome but is not required.
