Role Summary

HCLSoftware is seeking a Senior Process and Value Consultant (SPVC) to join the Incubate Delivery function. This is a senior, customer-facing delivery role responsible for leading the process and value approach across Incubate engagements, running current and future state workshops, defining business priorities, connecting what gets built to measurable outcomes, and ensuring that value is owned and tracked throughout delivery.

In traditional delivery, this would be recognized as a Senior Process Consultant or Senior Business Advisor. In AI-centered delivery, process understanding alone is not enough. The role needs to own value definition, benefit logic, measurable outcomes, and prioritization so that delivery stays connected to the business impact the customer is paying for. Without this, AI and orchestration programmes risk building capability that is technically sound but commercially and operationally disconnected.

This role requires lived business experience. The successful candidate will bring practical, cross-industry knowledge of how organisations operate, how processes work in practice, and where value is created and lost. This is not a role that can be learned purely through methodology or frameworks, it depends on the credibility that comes from having worked in or alongside the businesses this function serves.

This role will lead the process and value approach across both focused proof-of-value work and larger enterprise-wide delivery. Day-to-day interaction is primarily with Director and VP-level client stakeholders, with regular exposure to SVP and C-level as engagements scale and value cases are presented at senior governance forums.

Key Responsibilities

Process Analysis, Leadership and Business Outcome Ownership

  • Lead customer-facing delivery work: facilitating workshops, conducting stakeholder interviews, mapping current-state processes, and co-designing the future state.
  • Own the definition and prioritisation of business outcomes for each engagement, ensuring delivery stays focused on what matters most to customer stakeholders.
  • Identify where value is being created, lost, or left on the table, using practical business experience to challenge assumptions and prevent value leakage.
  • Ensure that business outcomes are defined in measurable terms, with clear benefit logic that connects what is being built to the impact it is expected to deliver.

Value Ownership Through Delivery

  • Maintain ongoing ownership of value through delivery, tracking whether the expected benefits are being realised and adjusting priorities where needed.
  • Ensure that delivery progress remains visibly connected to the agreed business outcomes, with value status actively managed and communicated throughout the engagement.
  • Monitor whether what is being built is delivering the intended process improvements and business impact, flagging where outcomes are at risk or where the approach needs to adapt.
  • Present value progress and outcome status to senior customer stakeholders, maintaining confidence that the engagement is delivering what it was designed to achieve.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Stakeholder Relationship and Management

  • Build trusted advisory relationships with senior customer stakeholders by establishing deep process credibility — earning the right to shape direction through demonstrated understanding of how the business actually works and generates value.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for business outcome ownership, process strategy, and value-related stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead process and value conversations at a level that earns the right to shape direction, not just respond to briefs.
  • Communicate value, progress, and priorities in language that resonates with business and executive audiences — not in technical or delivery terms.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations around scope, outcomes, and timelines, ensuring alignment between what was agreed and what is being delivered.

Partnership with Context and Data Strategy

  • Work in close partnership with the Senior Context and Data Strategist to ensure that what emerges from process workshops and stakeholder conversations is captured with enough detail and precision for the build team.
  • Ensure the handoff from process and advisory outputs to requirements is clean, structured, and does not lose the business intent or contextual nuance that emerged during discovery.
  • Support the Context and Data Strategist in validating that documented requirements and detailed design remain faithful to the agreed business outcomes and priorities.
  • Jointly ensure traceability from business outcomes through requirements through to delivered solution.

Cross-Industry and Cross-Practice Perspective

  • Bring lived business experience from across industries and practices to each engagement, providing business stakeholders with perspective they would not get from a purely technical delivery team.
  • Draw on practical knowledge of how organisations operate, how processes work in reality, and where common pitfalls and opportunities sit.
  • Use cross-industry insight to challenge assumptions constructively, benchmark ambitions realistically, and identify patterns and opportunities from comparable contexts.
  • Contribute to the broader Incubate Delivery function's knowledge base by sharing lessons, patterns, and reusable process and value approaches across engagements.

Team Leadership and Capability Building

  • Line manage Process and Value Consultants at E3 level, providing direction, development, and performance oversight.
  • Set and maintain quality standards for process and value work across the function.
  • Mentor and coach junior Process and Value Consultants, building their confidence, business awareness, and customer-facing capability.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable process mapping frameworks, value tracking templates, and workshop approaches.

Required Experience

  • Significant experience in a senior process consulting, business advisory, or operational improvement role within complex enterprise environments.
  • Lived business experience across multiple industries or sectors — not solely a consulting or technology background, but practical, first-hand understanding of how organizations operate, how processes work, and where value is created and lost.
  • Experience producing and overseeing structured process documentation including current-state analysis, process mapping, and future-state design across complex, multi-workstream enterprise programmes.
  • Proven track record of leading process analysis, business improvement, or outcome definition work — whether in a consulting, advisory, or in-house operational context — including facilitating workshops, engaging senior stakeholders, and defining business outcomes that shape what gets built or changed.
  • Experience owning value realization through delivery programmes — tracking outcomes, managing benefit logic, and ensuring delivery stays connected to business impact.
  • Experience working in environments involving AI, automation, orchestration, or technology-led business change.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills at senior and executive level.
  • Experience line managing and developing junior process consulting or advisory team members.
