Senior Process Engineer
Are you an experienced Process Engineer looking to make a real impact within a highly regulated manufacturing environment? We are partnering with a leading global organisation within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector that is investing heavily in innovation, process development, and capital projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to join a growing manufacturing team, playing a key role in delivering new technologies, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the safe and efficient transfer of process development into manufacturing operations.
The Role
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will provide technical expertise across manufacturing and engineering projects, ensuring facilities and processes are capable of meeting current and future production demands. You will lead capital projects from concept through to commissioning and validation, while championing process safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide process engineering support to manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and operational standards.
- Lead and manage capital projects from initial design through installation, commissioning, and validation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, facilities groups, and external suppliers to develop and implement effective technical solutions.
- Define validation requirements and support the preparation and review of commissioning and validation documentation.
- Conduct and lead process safety assessments, including HAZOP, LOPA, What-If studies, and FMEA reviews.
- Review engineering changes to ensure technical suitability and compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
- Support pilot plant and laboratory activities by applying chemical engineering expertise to process development and troubleshooting.
- Participate in and lead quality and safety investigations where required.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
- Experience specifying, purchasing, and implementing process equipment.
- Strong knowledge of process safety methodologies, including HAZOP and LOPA.
- Experience writing and reviewing commissioning, validation, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering capital projects within pharmaceutical, chemical, FMCG, or similarly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of drug substance manufacturing processes.
- Experience leading process safety discussions and technical reviews.
- Understanding of engineering controls for handling high-potency compounds.
