Engineering services are delivered for the px group by the engineering consultancy division px Engineering Consultants Limited (“PXECL”). The team comprises of managers, senior engineers, engineers and designers that have direct experience of construction projects and operating facilities, as well as exceptional engineering expertise.

The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer. The role holder will support the delivery of defined engineering tasks for minor modifications and projects to the highest standards complying with legal obligations and client statement of requirements.
You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of proposals for new business opportunities, provision of consultancy services and deputy line management responsibilities of the team.
- Be conversant/ comply with UK Legislation, Company Rules, procedures, and instructions, contributing to appropriate procedural and system updates.
- Provide technical expertise for the specification, design, procurement support, installation, and commissioning of the engineering systems.
- Support Design Assurance for their discipline. Provide on-going technical support to projects and team.
- Produce, review, and guide the associated documentation relating to the design, installation and operation of discipline specific systems.
- Where required, perform the role of ‘Lead Engineer’ for appropriate projects in line with the scope of work and as-sold budgets.
- Make decisions involving technical issues, budget considerations, project schedules and safety with a minimum level of supervision.
- Support Business Winning incl. capability presentations, generation of early execution strategies and associated cost estimates.

Minimum Requirements
- Degree qualified in process or chemical engineering discipline, or equivalent
- Relevant engineering design experience in the delivery of minor modifications and supporting projects during the full life-cycle including Pre-FEEDs, FEEDs and EPC phases within the chemicals, petrochemicals, oil and gas, and power generation industries.
- Experience providing engineering contribution to estimates for project work scopes and providing input to progress and planning meetings.
- Have participated in various engineering review meetings such as HAVID, HAZOP, LOPA etc.
- Ability to provide technical expertise to specify modifications to existing equipment or purchasing new equipment including: pump systems, separation equipment, relief devices/networks
- Ability to provide calculations required for the role and participation in design reviews including layout/3D model, P&IDs and constructability.
- Ability to provide technical expertise to ther solution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process.
