Senior Bioprocess Engineer (Tissue Engineering)

Location: Somerset

The Opportunity

An innovative and fast-growing biotech organisation is seeking a Senior Bioprocess Engineer to support the development of advanced tissue engineering and bioprocess technologies.

The Role

You will help design and optimise bioprocesses and bioreactor systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate research into scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimise bioprocess and bioreactor designs
  • Support scale-up from lab to pilot/manufacturing
  • Collaborate across biology, engineering and materials teams
  • Plan and execute experimental work and system testing
  • Contribute to automation, data capture and process control
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards

About You

  • 3–8 years’ experience in bioprocessing, bioreactors or related fields
  • Strong experimental and problem-solving skills
  • Experience scaling processes from lab to pilot/production
  • Practical, organised and collaborative approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
