Senior Process Engineer

Base Salary: £80,000 (Dependent on experience)
Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package (Includes Performance-Linked Bonus, Enhanced Pension, Private Medical Insurance, Life Cover, and Flexible Working)
Location: London / UK (Hybrid)
Sector: Sustainable Engineering & Energy Consultancy

Our client is a well-established engineering consultancy delivering innovative technical solutions to help industrial and commercial organisations improve energy performance, reduce emissions and operate more sustainably.

In response to continued growth and increasing demand for decarbonisation expertise, they are appointing a Senior Process Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex energy and sustainability projects across the UK.

The Role

  • Will lead the design, development and delivery of process engineering solutions focused on improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions and enhancing overall process performance.
  • Will assess existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for energy recovery, optimisation and the integration of lower-carbon technologies.
  • Will undertake and oversee technical studies, process calculations, system design and engineering evaluations from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and implementation.
  • Will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical leadership and ensuring solutions are commercially viable, technically robust and aligned with wider sustainability objectives.

The Person

  • Will ideally hold a degree qualification in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Will offer a successful track record in process engineering within an engineering consultancy, energy, industrial or technical project environment.
  • Will possess strong technical knowledge of process design, energy efficiency and process optimisation, with experience contributing to sustainability or decarbonisation projects.
  • Will be an accomplished communicator and client-facing engineer with the ability to lead technical projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and develop practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
