  • Provide clear technical guidance and support to engineering colleagues, sharing knowledge and encouraging the adoption of effective working practices.
  • Lead strategic improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, reliability, compliance and cost optimisation.
  • Manage engineering projects from initial concept through to implementation, including process improvements, equipment upgrades and technology introduction.
  • Collaborate with Research and Development, New Product Introduction, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Service teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Act as a key technical stakeholder, contributing engineering insight during product development, industrialisation and ongoing operational support.
  • Develop, implement and optimise processes, technologies and engineering solutions that meet current and future business needs.
  • Explore the use of digital technologies, automation, data analytics and Industry 4.0 approaches to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure engineering activities meet applicable quality, regulatory, safety and business requirements.
  • Identify technical risks and implement proportionate mitigation plans to protect product quality and business continuity.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, helping to create an environment where people feel confident sharing ideas, learning and developing their capabilities.
  • Champion our zero-harm culture through considered decision-making and responsible engineering practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
