Your new company
A leading global financial services and technology organisation is continuing to invest heavily across its technology and procurement functions as part of a wider transformation programme. Operating across multiple international markets, the business manages a complex technology estate and partners with many of the world's largest software providers to support critical business operations and strategic transformation initiatives.
Procurement is a highly regarded function within the organisation, recognised by senior leadership for the value it delivers across the business. The team works closely with technology, finance, legal, and executive stakeholders to influence key investment decisions, manage supplier risk, and deliver commercial outcomes across a global environment.
Your new role
Joining the Technology Procurement team, you will take ownership of a strategic Corporate & Business Software category, supporting a broad range of business functions including Finance, Risk, Legal, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, and Sales. This is a highly visible leadership role, responsible for defining category strategy across a significant supplier portfolio, which includes some of the world's leading enterprise software providers. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll need to succeed
