Senior Procurement Manager

What You'll Be Responsible For

This is an influential role managing procurement activity across ingredients, packaging and third-party manufacturing, managing significant, multi-category annual spend.

  • Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies that deliver sustainable value across cost, quality, service and supply continuity.
  • Through market analysis, strategic sourcing and effective commercial negotiation, identify opportunities for savings, cost avoidance, inflation mitigation and supplier-led value creation.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, lead senior-level supplier reviews and oversee major tenders, contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Working collaboratively with Finance and wider stakeholders, maintain effective procurement governance, forecasting, reporting and spend visibility while identifying and mitigating commercial, ethical, sustainability and supply-chain risks.
  • Alongside the Strategic Procurement Lead, coach colleagues, share expertise and help develop procurement capability across the wider team.

The role will be predominately based from our Leeds office (LS15), with regular travel to other Quorn sites, suppliers and third-party manufacturers.

What Experience You'll Need To Have

  • Proven commercial background within food manufacturing, FMCG or another manufacturing environment, with experience developing and executing category and sourcing strategies.
  • Track record of delivering savings, cost improvements, service performance, quality outcomes and supplier value creation.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract-management capability, with experience managing strategic relationships and major commercial agreements.
  • Well-developed financial, commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to use data and market intelligence to inform decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and cross-functional leadership skills, ideally alongside experience of procurement transformation, digitalisation, governance frameworks, process improvement or mentoring.
  • A passion for healthy, sustainable products which are better for our consumers and the planet – you don’t have to be a vegetarian to work for Quorn!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
