Location: Samlesbury, Hybrid - 3 days per week on site minimum

Travel: Travel to KSA 2x per year may be required for 1 week (depending on business needs)
Salary: £51,772

Job Description:
You will provide procurement support across BAE Systems Arabian Industries UK operations, supporting the Saudi British Defence Cooperation Programme (SBDCP) and Salam programmes. You will oversee specialist contracts and indirect procurement activities, working with suppliers and stakeholders to support programme requirements. Your role also involves supplier performance, bid activity and negotiations, providing varied exposure across procurement within an international joint venture environment.
Core duties:
- Provide procurement support across UK Key Partner Companies and BAE Systems Arabian Industries UK entities
- Oversee specialist offshore contracts supporting the SBDCP and Salam programmes
- Coordinate indirect procurement activities, working with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure business and programme requirements are met
- Support new business and bid activities, including RFPs, RFQs and procurement inputs, working with the Principal Procurement Officer
- Conduct regular supplier reviews, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and outcomes

Essential Skills:
- Experience supporting RFPs, RFQs and bid activities within a procurement or similar environment
- Experience negotiating pricing and contractual terms and conditions, while building effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to compile and analyse data, produce reports and present recommendations, including identifying opportunities for process and continuous improvement
- Experience overseeing supplier or contract activities, including monitoring performance, resolving issues and supporting delivery against business requirements
- Experience using ERP or procurement systems, such as Coupa or SAP S/4HANA, alongside Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
The BAESAI Capability & Training Team:
The team provides procurement support across UK operations supporting key Saudi programmes. Working closely with suppliers and stakeholders, the team manages specialist manpower and indirect procurement activity, including contract negotiations, supplier performance, reporting and continuous improvement within a varied and international business environment.
