Senior Procurement Professional BAE Systems – Supply Chain £24.78 per hour PAYE or £33.24 via umbrella (inside IR35) Full-Time | 37 hours per week | Monday–Friday | Onsite

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Procurement Professional to join BAE Systems’ Supply Chain team, supporting major aerospace programmes including Typhoon and F-35, as well as in-service Hawk and T45 customer requirements.

This is a fast-paced role where you’ll manage UK and international suppliers, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to support production and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a UK and international supplier base and associated order book.
  • Ensure timely placement of purchase contracts and adherence to procurement governance.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs covering delivery, quality and invoicing.
  • Proactively expedite orders and resolve supply issues.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Commercial, Finance and Project Management teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ERP system data.
  • Analyse supply chain information and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead supplier business and order book reviews, including supplier site visits.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

About You:

  • Extensive procurement experience, ideally within aerospace, defence, manufacturing or another regulated environment.
  • Strong order book and supplier management experience.
  • Experience managing high volumes of purchase orders, supplier queries and invoices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • A proactive, collaborative and continuous-improvement mindset.
  • MCIPS or a similar procurement qualification would be advantageous.
  • Tableau experience would also be desirable.
