Senior Product Analyst

Location: Reading, UK
Work Model: Hybrid – 2-3 days per week in office
Contract Duration: 3-4 Months
Contract Type: Contracting
Rate: £475 per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Product Owner to clarify requirements, plan implementation, and support queries throughout the development lifecycle
  • Lead and oversee product analysis backlog items across the end-to-end product within an Agile environment
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements and solution specifications
  • Plan, prioritise, manage, execute, and evaluate analysis activities across the product lifecycle
  • Work alongside the Product Owner to understand and prioritise conflicting business needs
  • Assess business impacts and lead business process design and improvement activities
  • Present complex business and technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels
  • Identify, assess, and evaluate business and IT risks
  • Prepare concise reports, communications, and business documentation tailored to different audiences
  • Lead detailed scoping exercises during the early stages of work packages and support junior analysts in effective scoping
  • Support the development of Product Analyst capabilities and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Ensure IT data security standards and practices are followed and risks or incidents are appropriately reported

Required Skills

  • Strong experience as a Senior Product Analyst / Product Analyst within a technology or digital environment
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments alongside Product Owners and delivery teams
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and solution specification
  • Ability to translate customer and business needs into technical requirements and recommended solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong experience in business process analysis, modelling, and impact assessment
  • Experience managing and prioritising product analysis backlogs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience identifying and assessing business and IT risks
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts to stakeholders at different levels
  • Experience producing clear reports, communications, business cases, and supporting materials

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within a large-scale enterprise or digital transformation environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ways of working
  • Experience working with cross-functional delivery teams
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior analysts
  • Understanding of IT data security, cyber risk, and data protection
  • Experience with lean business cases and work package scoping
