We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Senior Product Analyst- EUC Remediation.
About the Role
As Senior Product Analyst, EUC Remediation you’ll support the Product Owner to translate a Group-wide remediation and demise strategy into clear delivery that reduces reliance on unmanaged business-built solutions. Working with global stakeholders across Product, Technology, Architecture and Risk you’ll take significant remediation workstreams from discovery and assessment through prioritisation, remediation and retirement. The role sits at the intersection of business process and technical design, so recommendations need to be operationally workable and technically credible. Success means a well-shaped backlog, clear sequencing and strong visibility of dependencies, blockers and risk. You’ll help bring newly identified EUCs into the remediation pipeline quickly and consistently. You’ll also support adoption of strategic alternatives where they fit the use case and provide management information that helps senior stakeholders make decisions and maintain momentum.

- Own significant EUC remediation workstreams from discovery and assessment through remediation and demise
- Translate product strategy and roadmap objectives into structured demand, requirements, priorities and delivery activity
- Assess EUC solutions across business purpose, technical build, criticality, data and process dependencies and remediation options
- Shape and maintain major sections of the remediation backlog with clear sequencing, dependency mapping, blockers and delivery priorities
- Partner with EUC owners, business subject matter experts, engineers and architects to define sustainable remediation approaches
- Evaluate remediation proposals using practical knowledge of legacy EUC technologies and strategic tooling available within the bank
- Use discovery and inventory tooling including XLMON and the registered inventory to bring new items into the delivery pipeline
- Produce and interpret management information on progress, pipeline health, blockers, strategic tool adoption, benefits and EUC demise
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Bring substantial experience in Product, Technology, Transformation or Business Solutions within a large and complex organisation
- Demonstrate a track record of converting strategic direction into structured requirements, prioritisation and executable delivery activity
- Show deep practical understanding of end user computing solutions including how they are built, embedded in business processes, assessed, remediated and retired
- Apply established experience of EUC discovery, inventory assessment, remediation, migration or simplification at material organisational scale
- Use working knowledge of common EUC technologies including Excel and VBA, Microsoft Access, SQL Server, reporting solutions, data processing and business-led automation tools
- Recommend appropriate remediation routes across replacement, migration, productionisation, control uplift and retirement
- Apply practical knowledge of HSBC tooling used for discovery and remediation including XLMON, Transformers, Alteryx, Xceptor and StratPy
- Partner effectively with Risk, Technology, Architecture, control owners and business stakeholders in a governed environment, influencing decisions across organisational boundaries
