Location
This is largely a remote role with travel to Manchester or Peterborough when required.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product & Propositions Manager who will provide strategic oversight and leadership for product and proposition activity across one or more product areas, supporting the commercial strategy and long term performance of the business.
The role owns customer understanding, propositions and governance outcomes, ensuring products are competitive, compliant, customer centric and commercially effective across their lifecycle.
Acting as a senior subject matter expert, the role partners closely with Product Owners, commercial leaders, risk, compliance and delivery teams, while providing guidance and oversight to managers and executives within the Product & Proposition function.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and insight: Understand customer needs, market dynamics and competitors, using insights to shape product, proposition and portfolio strategy.
- Drive product and proposition development: Oversee customer journey design, acquisition, distribution and performance analysis, prioritising strategic initiatives and improvements.
- Lead governance and compliance: Maintain accountability for product governance, regulatory adherence, customer outcomes and all product documentation (e.g. policy wording, IPIDs).
- Ensure quality and customer experience: Oversee communications, journeys and marketing content to ensure clarity, consistency and accuracy; manage incidents and remediation activity.
- Provide leadership and stakeholder management: Lead key projects, mentor team members and act as a senior interface with stakeholders, insurers and governance forums.
- Support operations and issue resolution: Oversee product enquiries and resolve complex or escalated issues while ensuring effective oversight of tools, channels and schemes.

Essential
- Experience in product or proposition management within insurance or financial services.
- Strong understanding of product governance, regulatory frameworks and customer outcomes.
- Proven capability to lead complex initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience owning product or proposition performance and strategy.
Desirable
- Experience managing or mentoring product managers or executives.
- Deep familiarity with comparison sites, pricing or distribution models.
- Experience working closely with Product Owners, digital teams or commercial leadership.
