Job Description
About Cotality & The Role
The International Markets Claims Product team plays a vital role in shaping Cotality's global product direction. Our award-winning claims platform is market-leading in the UK.
We are looking for a curious, hands-on, and forward-thinking Senior Product Consultant to act as the primary voice of our regional customers and market. In this role, you will bridge customer insight with global delivery—gathering requirements, testing functionality, leveraging data analytics, and standing up on stage at events to showcase our product vision.
You will work closely with a small, close-knit team (including a Data Analyst and peer consultants) and collaborate with product and engineering colleagues in North America to influence the global claims roadmap.
Key Responsibilities

AI Adoption & Product Analytics
- Embrace AI & Emerging Tech: Proactively identify and apply practical ways to use AI tools (e.g., generative AI, LLMs, automated documentation) to solve operational challenges, streamline client workflows, and enhance product capabilities.
- Data-Backed Recommendations: Leverage product analytics tools (such as Mixpanel for user behavior and Snowflake for product utilisation) to track adoption, validate features, and back up regional roadmap requests with hard data.

Customer Consulting & Requirements Definition
- Act as the primary product liaison for UK and international customers, building structured Voice of Customer (VoC) feedback loops.
- Gather, analyse, and define precise functional software requirements and user stories based on direct client feedback and market insights.

Product Application, UAT & Quality
- Get hands-on with new functionality: configure systems, understand features deeply, and validate performance through rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before release, remaining mindful of change impacts on clients.

Regional Advocacy & Global Collaboration
- Champion regional international market needs to North American product and engineering teams, using market data to build compelling business cases for regional prioritisation.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across global time zones, business units, and cultures.

Documentation & Self-Serve Knowledge Management
- Write clear, high-quality release notes and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base that drives feature adoption, enables client self-service, and reduces repetitive support queries.

Public Speaking, Stage Presence & Customer Demos
- Stage Presence & Product Showcase: Confidently present Cotality's Claims product suite, strategy, and live feature demonstrations on stage at customer events, annual summits, and industry conferences.
- Thought Leadership & Demos: Lead product demos for clients and internal stakeholders, translating complex technical details into clear business value and explaining roadmap direction in plain terms.

Job Qualifications
Requirements & Experience
- Software Delivery & Hands-On Aptitude: Inquisitive by nature with hands-on experience in software requirements definition, system configuration, and UAT execution. You learn systems by getting into them, not just reading about them.
- Technical & Data Acumen: Understanding of SaaS delivery models, system integrations, APIs, and data mapping.
- AI Tool & Analytics Fluency: Passion and willingness to integrate AI tools into daily workflows, combined with hands-on experience using product analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Snowflake).
- Global & Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal skills (capable of producing genuinely useful documentation) and comfort working within a matrixed, international team structure across time zones.
- Public Speaking Confidence: Proven ability to present to large audiences, lead live product showcases on stage, and communicate comfortably with executive and C-suite stakeholders.
- Domain Experience: Experience in a client-facing product, consulting, or business analyst role within the Insurance sector is ideal (preference for Claims and Home Insurance domain knowledge). However, other industry experience can be considered.
