About Heidi
Heidi was founded in 2018 to make mountain holidays available to more people. We are changing the traditional ski holiday industry through flexible packages and technology that makes it easier to find and book the right holiday.
We are growing quickly and want to keep improving the experience we give our customers.
The Role
One of our Senior Product Designers will be taking maternity leave, so we’re looking for an experienced designer who can get stuck-in quickly and take ownership of meaningful product work.
You’ll lead complex design problems from discovery through to launch, then use what we learn to keep making the experience better.
You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and teams across Heidi to understand customer problems, make good product decisions and create great experiences.
This is a hands-on senior role. You’ll have plenty of ownership, with support from James, our Lead Product Designer, who’ll be your line manager. You’ll also help raise the quality of work around you, but you won’t manage anyone directly.
Our Product Team
Our Product Team works across ‘Holiday Experience’, ‘Growth’ and ‘Supply’. It includes:
- 5x Product Managers
- 2x Product Designers, including this role
- 10x Developers
Some projects move quickly, especially during winter as this is when we make most of our bookings. Others need more time for research and exploration. We expect you to know when to move fast and when to dig deeper.
Each discipline brings specialised knowledge to a project. Product Design, Product Management and Engineering share responsibility for understanding the opportunity, shaping the direction and delivering the outcome.
Design also works closely with teams across Heidi to understand the commercial, operational and customer context behind the experience.
Your responsibilities
- Create customer solutions: Lead design work from understanding the problem through to launch and learning afterwards.
- Make better product decisions: Use customer insight, data and business goals to help the team choose the right direction.
- Design great experiences: Create accessible and effective experiences that work across complex customer journeys.
- Raise design quality: Help improve our customer journeys, shared patterns and design system, not just the work you directly own.
- Get work shipped: Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to solve problems pragmatically, make trade-offs and keep things moving.
- Help others: Share what you know, give useful feedback, be encouraging and help people make stronger design decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
