The Role

You’ll sit alongside a passionate and talented multi-disciplinary experience design team, made up of user researchers, product designers, content designers and design operations, who are focused on creating the best digital experiences for Bupa’s customers in the UK.

As Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing and shaping unique, customer-centric experiences from concept to launch within one of our product squads. You’ll work collaboratively in an agile environment alongside experience design peers to create positive experiences that are easy to use and solve the needs of Bupa’s customers. Growing a healthy partnership with your product owner, you’ll be involved in the strategy to drive the product’s direction.

You’ll be a key member of the product design community of practice contributing to peer feedback sessions and using your experience to help Leads mentor and coach other designers in the team.

How you'll help make health happen

As a senior contributing member of the team, you’ll be hands on across project work in your squad, involved in every stage of a user-centred design process from Discovery to Launch.

  • Provide UX direction across Bupa’s digital assets (App, Mobile, Desktop & connected devices) to drive a consistent approach to UX and a seamless experience for customers across products and business units.
  • Contribute to and improve our existing UX toolkit & playbooks.
  • Help build a reusable framework and templates that other parts of the business can use to adopt a customer-centric culture.
  • Educate the business on how to adopt a customer-centric culture.
  • Showcase the UX team and our process at external design events and conferences.
  • Mentor, coach, and inspire other members of the experience design team, helping to shape the product design discipline.
  • As an experienced voice of the customer, you’ll build advocacy amongst key stakeholders evangelising the principles, standards, and processes of UX design.
  • Contribute to playbooks, design crits, and other communities of practice sessions to highlight your discipline’s work, enable constructive feedback, and elevate the quality of the craft.
  • Help maintain and improve the inherent pillars of our team’s culture; psychological safety, celebrating success, and learning from each other.
  • Advocacy for the adoption of the organisation’s Design System, ‘Anatomy’ and contribution to the community.
  • Create assets for our design system, including helping to document UX research and insight to provide rationale for the teams’ design decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
