This is a rare opportunity to join The Gym Group as a Senior Digital Product Designer, working at the heart of a cross-functional product team to shape the end-to-end digital experience for over a million members. What you'll be doing
- Leading continuous discovery alongside Product and Engineering, using research, data and customer insight to identify the right problems and shape product direction.
- Planning and conducting user research - interviews, usability testing, surveys and behavioural analysis - to build a clear, evidence-based picture of member needs.
- Designing end-to-end member experiences across web and app, from early concepts and service blueprints through to polished, accessible UX and UI.
- Prototyping and testing ideas early to validate hypotheses, reduce risk and keep teams focused on meaningful outcomes rather than assumed solutions.
- Collaborating closely with the wider Product Design team to evolve the Design System, maintain quality standards and build a culture of constructive critique and shared learning.
- Using analytics and experimentation tools (including GA4, Contentsquare and HEAP) to evaluate live experiences and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions that bring together Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and other stakeholders to align on problems and solutions.
- Championing customer-centred thinking across TGG, helping teams move from a focus on features to a focus on problems, learning and measurable impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
