Senior Product Designer | HealthTech Scale-up | Hybrid, London (2 days/week)
I'm working with a HealthTech company that's automating preventative care for hundreds of GP practices and millions of NHS patients and they're looking for a Product Designer who's already working differently to most.
If you're still treating Figma as your finished product, this one isn't for you.
Why this role is different
This team has quietly ditched the traditional design to eng handover. Designers here prototype straight into a live branch of the actual codebase, using tools like Cursor and Claude to get from idea to working interface fast. So what you design is close to what actually ships. There's minimal translation loss between what you intend and what users get.

You'll be the embedded designer in a small cross-functional squad with product, engineering, clinicians and customer-facing folks. Owning one of two product areas: the in-appointment clinician tooling, or the NHS-branded patient app.
What you'll actually be doing:
- Taking product problems from rough idea through to shipped, polished interface
- Prototyping and building directly in the frontend using AI coding tools, rather than waiting on engineering bandwidth
- Getting out into GP practices to see how clinicians and patients actually use what you build
- Translating messy clinical and operational problems into interfaces that feel obvious
- Using research and usage data to keep testing your assumptions
- Helping shape the design system as the team grows

Who tends to thrive here
- You're already using AI coding tools day to day not to speed up your existing process, but because it's opened up things you couldn't do as a designer before.
- You have 5+ year of experience designing B2B SaaS products
- You've shipped real features or UI changes yourself, or worked hands-on with engineers to get them live
- Your portfolio leans on strong, well executed work rather than processes.
- You can talk through your decisions clearly with engineers, PMs and clinicians alike
- You want a role where what's expected of you as a designer keeps growing, not shrinking
