Senior Product Designer
The Role
Our Senior Product Designers create intuitive, accessible and engaging digital products that solve real user needs and deliver measurable business value. Working closely with Lead Designers, Product Managers, Strategists and Technologists, you will shape end-to-end product experiences across a broad range of digital products and services.
You will bring strong product design capability with a particular depth in UX, using research, insight, systems thinking and experimentation to understand customer needs, identify opportunities and turn complex challenges into clear, effective solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will influence product direction, support client engagement and maintain a consistently high standard of design delivery.
You will champion user-centred product design, balancing user needs, business goals and technical constraints. You will help teams frame the right problems, validate ideas and deliver cohesive experiences across web, mobile and emerging digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own product design activities across the full lifecycle, from discovery and problem definition through to concept development, testing, delivery and iteration.
- Plan, conduct and synthesise user research, stakeholder interviews, workshops and usability testing to uncover needs, behaviours and opportunities.
- Translate user insight, product strategy, business objectives and technical requirements into clear product and experience design solutions.
- Create user journeys, information architectures, task flows, wireframes, interaction models and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Design intuitive, accessible and user-centred experiences across web, mobile and connected digital products.
- Partner closely with product managers, strategists, researchers, designers and engineers to define product outcomes, prioritise opportunities and deliver effective solutions.
- Facilitate workshops, co-creation sessions and design thinking activities with clients, users and multidisciplinary teams.
- Use qualitative research, product analytics and behavioural data to inform design decisions, test hypotheses and evaluate outcomes.
- Present product concepts, research findings, design rationale and recommendations confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Champion accessibility, inclusive design and usability throughout the product development process.
- Collaborate with engineering teams during delivery, providing clear specifications, reviewing implementation and protecting design intent.
- Contribute to the evolution of design systems, reusable patterns and product design standards to improve consistency and delivery efficiency.
- Mentor junior designers, provide constructive critique and contribute to the ongoing improvement of product design practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
