Senior Product Designer
South West London | Hybrid: 4 Days Onsite / 1 day from home
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join a growing consumer technology business on a permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity to shape customer experiences used at scale, taking ownership of product design from discovery through to delivery. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data and Marketing teams, you'll create intuitive, commercially effective digital experiences while evolving a scalable design system that supports future growth.
We're looking for someone who combines exceptional visual design with strong product thinking and enjoys solving complex customer problems. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, influencing product direction, collaborating across disciplines and using customer insight, experimentation and data to drive continuous improvement.
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with experience designing digital products for consumer or direct-to-consumer (D2C) businesses, particularly across acquisition, onboarding, checkout, subscription management, account experiences, loyalty and customer retention.
The Role
You'll work across a variety of high-impact initiatives, taking ownership from discovery through to final delivery while balancing customer needs with commercial objectives.
Projects are likely to include:
- Designing and optimising acquisition, onboarding and customer engagement journeys.
- Improving checkout, account management and subscription experiences.
- Enhancing customer retention, loyalty and repeat purchase journeys.
- Conducting user research, usability testing and competitor analysis to inform product decisions.
- Designing polished, production-ready user interfaces across web and mobile platforms.
- Working within and evolving an existing design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to influence product direction and prioritisation.
- Using customer insights, behavioural analytics and experimentation to drive measurable improvements in customer experience and business performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product design from discovery and problem definition through to delivery.
- Translate customer insights into intuitive, engaging and commercially effective digital experiences.
- Produce high-fidelity user interfaces, prototypes and production-ready designs in Figma.
- Work within and extend an established design system, creating reusable components and scalable design patterns.
- Partner closely with Engineering to ensure designs are practical, scalable and implemented to a high standard.
- Use qualitative and quantitative research, analytics and experimentation to prioritise design improvements.
- Present design rationale confidently to stakeholders across Product, Engineering and the wider business.
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap discussions, using customer insight to influence priorities.
- Thrive in an agile environment where priorities evolve and speed of execution is important.
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who combines excellent visual design with strong product thinking and enjoys working in fast-moving, collaborative environments.
You'll ideally have:
- 5+ years' experience in Product Design, ideally within a D2C or consumer-focused business.
- Proven experience designing end-to-end customer journeys across acquisition, onboarding, checkout, subscriptions, account management, loyalty and retention.
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design, UX thinking and systems-level design.
- Experience working within and evolving established design systems and component libraries.
- Strong experience using customer research, behavioural insights, analytics and experimentation to drive product decisions.
- Experience improving conversion, customer engagement, repeat purchase or long-term customer value.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing and Data.
- Confidence working independently, taking ownership and managing ambiguity.
- Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

Technical Skills
- Expert knowledge of Figma and modern prototyping tools.
- Experience using AI-assisted design and prototyping tools such as Claude, Figma AI or similar.
- Strong understanding of component libraries, design systems and reusable UI patterns.
- Experience with usability testing, behavioural analytics, A/B testing and experimentation.
- Good understanding of responsive design and accessibility best practices.
- Appreciation of front-end implementation and experience working closely with engineering teams.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within a high-growth consumer, ecommerce or D2C environment.
- Experience designing subscription or membership-based products.
- Experience optimising acquisition, onboarding, checkout or retention journeys.
- Experience contributing to product strategy and roadmap planning.
- Experience designing customer-facing AI-powered features or experiences.
