About us
At Xelix, we work with some of the world's largest companies to automate and strengthen their financial controls. Our AI solutions redefine how Accounts Payable teams operate - moving from manual processes to automated, intelligent workflows.
Xelix is a fast-paced scale-up - things move fast and expectations are high. We raised our Series B with Insight Partners in June 2025 and are expanding aggressively, whilst remaining profitable. We have over 100 talented people pulling together to achieve our goals. Everyone is trusted to take ownership, move fast and have a meaningful impact. We prioritise personal and professional growth, keep things fun & we love to celebrate a milestone together.
In this role you'll grow, be challenged and help shape the future of Xelix. If you're excited about building something special with us, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
Xelix sits at the intersection of finance and AI - dense data, high-stakes workflows, expert users. As a Senior Product Designer, you'll be at the centre of that complexity, working on problems that don't come with a playbook.
You'll sit in a trio with your Product Manager and Tech Lead rather than designing against a brief handed down to you. We're AI-native by culture as well as by product, so we want you experimenting with AI in your own process, not just watching from the sidelines.
Given the scope of this role, we're looking for someone who can get up to speed with the product and how we work quickly.
What you'll be doing
- Own the hard problems: Take end-to-end ownership of high-complexity, high-ambiguity work - often involving dense B2B data with no obvious precedent. Frame the problem yourself when there's no clean brief to start from.
- Shape strategy as part of the trio: Work alongside your PM and Tech Lead on roadmap and product strategy, not just execution. Spot gaps and risks before they're handed to you. Push back on scope or approach when the product needs it.
- Push AI into how we design: Bring a real point of view on how AI is changing design and engineering, and put it into practice - in your prototyping, your workflow, your thinking about what's now possible.
- Lead research, set the bar: Plan and run usability testing yourself, and turn findings into direction. Hold the standard for usability, accessibility, and consistency - including in critique. Own parts of the design system as the product scales.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We also believe in being transparent - we use Metaview's AI note-taker during interviews so our interviewers can stay fully present. If you'd prefer us not to use it, just let your interviewer know. While you may need to answer eligibility questions as part of your application, we do not use AI to review or make decisions on applications - every application is reviewed fairly by a member of our Talent team.
