Senior Product Designer (AI Products)

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with deep experience designing AI-powered products, services, and intelligent experiences. This is not a role for someone who simply uses AI tools to accelerate their workflow. We are seeking a designer who has worked on products where AI, machine learning, generative AI, conversational interfaces, recommendation engines, predictive systems, or autonomous agents form a core part of the user experience and product value proposition.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will work across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and research through to UX, UI, testing, and delivery. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Engineers, Researchers, and Business Stakeholders to shape AI-enabled experiences that are useful, trustworthy, explainable, and commercially impactful.

You will combine strong product thinking with expertise across UX design, interaction design, visual design, and user research to solve complex customer problems and transform advanced technologies into intuitive, accessible, and engaging experiences.

Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, Fintech, or other highly regulated industries is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

AI Product Design

  • Design end-to-end experiences for AI-powered products, platforms, and services.
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive user experiences that customers can easily understand and trust.
  • Define how users discover, interact with, guide, monitor, and receive value from AI systems.
  • Design workflows incorporating conversational AI, generative AI, agentic systems, recommendations, automation, predictive insights, or decision-support tools.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to shape AI product strategies and identify opportunities where AI can deliver measurable customer and business value.
  • Consider explainability, transparency, trust, confidence, bias mitigation, user control, and ethical design when creating AI experiences.

User Experience & Research

  • Lead discovery activities to understand user needs, behaviours, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Plan and conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, workshops, usability testing, and concept validation.
  • Turn complex user, business, and technical requirements into compelling experience strategies and product solutions.
  • Create user journeys, service blueprints, information architecture, task flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Synthesise research findings into clear design recommendations and product direction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
