Senior Product Designer | B2B | AI | £500/day Outside IR35

My client is hiring a senior product designer to own design for a key product stream in an enterprise B2B platform used in a regulated environment. You'll be the only designer on the stream, so we need someone who takes ownership, moves quickly, and can point to work that changed something.

The role

The main focus is our established design system. You'll extend it, harden it, and get it ready for AI: structured, documented and tokenised so that people and AI tools can both build from it reliably. You'll also design the workflows that run on it, especially complex review and decision-making screens where getting it wrong is costly.

What you'll do

  • Own and grow the design system: components, tokens, patterns, documentation and governance.
  • Make the system AI-ready, with machine-readable tokens, clear component APIs and close alignment between design and code.
  • Design high-stakes review workflows: prioritisation, risk flags, bulk actions, audit trails and traceability, built in from the start rather than added later.
  • Prototype in code, working directly in GitHub and the codebase with engineers.
  • Lead the work from first framing through shipping and measuring what it changed.
  • Work with subject-matter experts, keep scope tight, launch early and improve after launch.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll bring

  • Deep, hands-on design systems experience. You've built or scaled one, not just used one.
  • Comfort working in GitHub and a front-end codebase. This is essential.
  • A track record of shipped product in enterprise B2B, ideally in regulated, compliance-heavy or audit-driven settings.
  • Clear examples of outcomes: what you shipped, what it changed, and how you knew.
  • Strong instincts for complex data-heavy interfaces, including what users should see first and what needs to be traceable.
  • Urgency and ownership. You're happy being the only designer accountable for a stream.
  • You use AI tools in your daily design and build work, and you have a view on where they help and where they don't.

  • A background in financial review, cloud cost, risk or compliance tooling.
  • Experience with user research and usability testing.

Why join

You'll have real ownership of a design system that's about to matter more, a direct line to engineering, and the chance to shape how AI and design work together on a platform where precision counts.
