TransferGo

TransferGo is a growing fintech scale-up on a mission to champion financial freedom with care. We strive to provide tailored, more affordable financial services that make people's hard-earned money go further. Now in our 14th year, with close to 400 employees in offices across Europe and the UK, we’re crafting a brilliant, relevant product that makes a difference in people's lives and the well-being of their families.

We’ve come this far by building a talented, diverse workforce on a fair culture and our strong values. Having this strong team of employees, we can serve those who really need our product to make their lives better.

Join us as a Senior Product Designer and help shape how money moves across the globe 💸.

At TransferGo, Product Design is not simply a service that turns requirements into screens. Designers are part of the product trio, working alongside Product and Engineering to understand customer problems, shape strategy and deliver experiences that create meaningful customer and business outcomes.

In this role, you’ll lead complex initiatives from discovery through delivery across our web and mobile products. You’ll bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces, connect customer needs with commercial and technical realities, and help teams make better product decisions.

You’ll also play an important role in raising the quality of design across TransferGo. Alongside owning your work, you’ll mentor other designers, contribute to our design practice and help us use emerging technologies, including AI to work more effectively without compromising judgement, responsibility or craft.

If you’re excited by complex fintech challenges, care deeply about the details and want to help a growing design team increase its impact, we’d love to meet you.

Here’s what you’ll do as a Senior Product Designer:

  • Lead significant product initiatives from problem framing and discovery through design, validation, delivery and post-launch iteration
  • Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define the right problems, shape product direction and balance customer value, business goals and technical feasibility
  • Turn complex financial journeys and requirements into clear, accessible and trustworthy experiences across web and mobile
  • Use qualitative research, behavioural data, experimentation and product metrics to identify opportunities, evaluate trade-offs and measure the impact of your work
  • Plan and conduct appropriate research and validation, including user interviews, usability testing, concept testing and collaborative workshops
  • Develop and communicate a coherent design vision for your initiatives, connecting long-term direction with practical, iterative steps
  • Create high-quality user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes, interfaces and specifications, including edge cases and non-ideal states
  • Collaborate with Engineering early and throughout delivery, considering feasibility and ensuring the implemented experience meets the intended quality
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system, creating reusable patterns and improving consistency between design and production
  • Use AI-assisted tools thoughtfully throughout the design process; for example, to support research synthesis, problem framing, exploration, content design, rapid prototyping, data analysis and design reviews
  • Evaluate AI-generated work critically, protecting customer privacy and applying human judgement to accuracy, accessibility, quality and appropriateness
  • Communicate recommendations and design decisions clearly, using evidence and storytelling to build alignment and influence stakeholders
  • Mentor and support other designers through critique, feedback and practical guidance, helping raise the team’s overall quality and confidence
  • Improve the way we work by identifying opportunities to make design processes faster, clearer and more effective

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll report to our Head of Product Design.

What you’ll bring:

We don’t expect you to meet every single requirement listed. What matters most is your motivation, mindset and ability to learn. If you’re excited about this role and think you could be a great fit, we’d really like to hear from you.

  • 5+ years of experience designing and shipping digital products within cross-functional product teams
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership, strategic product thinking, polished UX/UI craft and measurable customer or business impact
  • A track record of independently leading complex initiatives from an ambiguous starting point through discovery, delivery and iteration
  • Strong product judgement and the ability to balance desirability, usability, viability, feasibility and delivery constraints
  • Advanced interaction and visual design skills, with close attention to detail, accessibility, consistency and usability
  • Strong systems thinking, including an understanding of how design decisions affect connected journeys, platforms, teams and future product development
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, prototyping and component-based workflows, with experience contributing to or evolving design systems
  • Confidence choosing and applying appropriate research and validation methods rather than relying on a single process for every problem
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative evidence to make decisions and evaluate outcomes
  • Practical familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows or clear evidence of actively developing this capability across areas such as ideation, research synthesis, content, prototyping, analytics or design review
  • The ability to assess AI output critically, recognise its limitations and use it responsibly rather than treating it as a replacement for customer insight or professional judgement
  • Strong communication, facilitation and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain decisions and influence stakeholders across disciplines and levels
  • A proactive approach to collaboration with Product and Engineering, including involving partners early and navigating constraints constructively
  • The ability to organise design artefacts and documentation so that decisions, specifications and context are easy for others to understand
  • The confidence to challenge assumptions, give and receive constructive feedback, and change direction when evidence calls for it
  • The ability to balance speed and quality, make pragmatic trade-offs and move work forward without waiting for perfect information
  • A user-first, low-ego approach grounded in curiosity, empathy, accountability and a strong sense of ownership
  • Fluent English language skills

And if you can also do this stuff, even better:

  • Experience designing fintech, payments, banking, SaaS or other complex and regulated digital products
  • Experience designing products for customers across different countries, languages, levels of financial literacy or accessibility needs
  • Experience working with complex data, experimentation platforms or product analytics tools
  • Familiarity with design tokens, Code Connect, code-backed prototyping or other workflows that help close the gap between design and implementation
  • Experience building or sharing AI-assisted workflows, prompt libraries, design-review practices or rapid prototyping approaches
  • Experience contributing to product strategy, roadmap conversations or cross-team initiatives beyond your immediate product area
