Working model: Remote first
Hours: Fulltime (40 hours per week)
Start Date & Duration: October 2026 for 3+ months (potential to extend)
Rate: Dependent on experience (outside IR35)

Position Summary
This role is for an initial contract of 3 months with the potential to extend.
B Lab is seeking a Senior Product Designer (Contract) to help continue the advancement of our global product offerings. We are looking for a candidate experienced in the end-to-end design process, transforming user insights into elegant and impactful designs. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary squad, improving the experience of B Impact, our digital product that supports one of B Lab’s core products, B Corp Certification.
Core Responsibilities
- Work with B Lab team across the organization to evolve offerings, understand requirements, interpret feedback into meaningful product insights and proposed improvements.
- Attend, participate and lead design co-working sessions, being open to giving and receiving feedback.
- Create and refine user journeys and process flows that communicate a cohesive user experience across the B Impact Assessment journey.
- Own the creation of design artifacts that demonstrate your thinking, enabling communication with stakeholders, validation with users and assets for development.
- Input into UX-friendly copy and microcopy for your designs in collaboration with the copywriting team.
- Support in the refinement of ways of working, to deliver greater impact and efficiencies.
- Develop a deep understanding of B Lab as a network and organization, becoming an expert in not only B Lab’s product offerings but the audience.
- Conduct user interviews, create and interpret surveys, set up task-based usability tests, and gather market analysis to inform design decisions.
- Work with stakeholders to brainstorm new ideas, host and participate in workshops to gather feedback and insights.
- Utilize, contribute and evolve B Lab’s design system to drive consistency, effectiveness and enable increased AI prototyping capability.
- Design all necessary states of interactive elements and responsive behaviour.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes for testing, demos, and developer handoff.

Position Skills & Competencies
We encourage you to apply if you have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in User Experience Design focused on web based applications or Human-Computer Interaction.
- Figma expert with experience in prototyping tools and AI execution.
- Experience working with design systems, not only their use, but their creation and management.
- Experienced in the set up and running of user research initiatives, validating concepts with end-users and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS and presentation layer technologies.

While not required, please note in your application if you have:
- UX copywriting skills.
- Experience designing products for global markets.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks.

- Must have an understanding and awareness of JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) principles and how to apply them.
