Waracle is looking for a Senior Product Designer
Waracle are looking for a Senior Product Designer for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious, and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.
We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design, and delivery to operations.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid working arrangement, giving you the flexibility to balance your professional and personal commitments. You'll work 2 days per week from either our Glasgow or Dundee office, with the remaining days working remotely.
The Role

In this influential role, you'll help shape the future of our design systems, champion accessible and inclusive design, and empower fellow designers through coaching and mentorship. You'll join a collaborative, supportive environment where your ideas are valued, innovation is encouraged, and your professional growth is supported.
We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for inclusive design, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. Key aspects of the role include:
- Journey & Pattern Leadership: Leading interaction design for complex initiatives and shaping core interaction patterns across our design system.
- Visual Evolution & Brand Direction: Evolving visual languages to match brand and tech changes, setting the creative direction for major initiatives.
- Design System Governance: Defining clear, intuitive guidelines and principles to ensure consistency across digital products.
- Inclusive Design & Accessibility: Championing accessibility audits and embedding inclusive design practices into every stage of the product lifecycle.
- Strategic Experimentation: Driving A/B testing and experimentation strategies that connect design to real user needs and business goals.
- Mentorship & Support: Guiding, encouraging, and elevating junior team members to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborative Prototyping: Connecting user-centered concepts with technical feasibility to bring transformative digital ideas to life.

What you'll bring to the role:
- Proven expertise in leading complex interaction design and defining system-wide patterns.
- A strong commitment to inclusive design and experience leading accessibility audits.
- Hands-on experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and tracking outcomes that make a difference.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and active listening skills that foster open collaboration.
- A passion for uplifting others through empathetic mentorship and constructive guidance.
The Recruitment Process
The recruitment process you can expect for this role is an initial call with your dedicated Talent Attraction Partner who will chat with you about Waracle, what you are looking for in a new position, the salary for the role, notice period, and benefits (the important stuff!).
After that, you'll be invited to a two-stage interview process where you have an opportunity to find out more about the role and showcase your skills and experience. Your Talent Attraction Partner will guide you through the whole process to your first day with us.
