Senior Product Designer

We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to support the design, testing, and implementation of digital products and services within our participant recruitment team. The role will focus on service understanding, prototyping, user testing, and digital delivery as it seeks to translate complex recruitment services into intuitive, user-centred experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive team understanding of mixed digital / physical service pathways as they impact the digital product
  • Lead UX and UI design activities across discovery, design and validation phases
  • Define and execute testing and experimentation plans, including prototype testing, user interviews and structured feedback loops
  • Create, refine and iterate interactive prototypes to validate concepts and inform product direction
  • Translate complex healthcare data, insights and outputs into clear, compelling visualisations and narratives
  • Design experiences that help users quickly understand and act on healthcare information, metrics and recommendations
  • Work closely with product, engineering, clinical and business stakeholders to synthesise research findings and shape product recommendations
  • Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to improve user experiences and inform design decisions
  • Communicate design rationale, insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ensure all designs adhere to our design system, are inclusive to Our Future Health's ethical standards and meet WCAG 2.2 AA-compliance
  • Collaborate closely with members of your team to input to and influence the roadmap and priorities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Product Designer in digital product environments
  • Experience collaborating closely with content designers and user researchers within an end-to-end design process
  • Experience working collaboratively in large, multi-team service delivery projects that span internal teams and 3rd party providers
  • Demonstrated experience working and designing through ambiguity
  • Portfolio that demonstrates expertise in end-to-end UX/UI design capability
  • Expertise in product design and digital whiteboarding tools such as Figma and Miro
  • Experience working with user researchers to translate research outcomes into actionable insights for design
  • Experience working within cross-functional product teams and agile delivery environments
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated service design skillsets and/or the experience understanding and interrogate services as they apply to products
  • Previous experience designing products, platforms or services within healthcare, government, or other service delivery organisations
  • Understanding designing for regulated environments
  • Experience working iteratively through pilots or test-and-learn environments, using emerging evidence to evolve designs and inform product direction
