I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Focus On
We are a small but mighty mobile-first design team working across two global brands. We work in cross-functional squads alongside product managers and engineers, move fast, and hold a high bar for craft. AI-assisted tools are part of how we work and we use them to move faster, prototype earlier, and spend more time on the problems that matter.

UX Design
- Create high-level user flows for complex products that capture happy paths and edge cases
- Build the right level of fidelity for the moment, from quick sketches and rough flows through to high-fidelity prototypes, prioritising speed to clarity over polish at every stage of the process
- Use AI-assisted prototyping tools including Figma Make to accelerate ideation, produce working prototypes faster, and explore a broader range of solutions before committing to a direction
- Understand business and technical needs and requirements
- Work cross-functionally (in and outside of the design team) to create innovative features

- Experience leading and launching end-to-end product features on consumer-facing products
- Attention to detail and a high bar for craft
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Love to discuss design in group settings and participate in design critiques and reviews

- The ability to explain your work, process, and decisions and seek feedback to help you produce your best work
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Design discovery (user research, competitive research)
- A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences
- Familiarity with financial services, regulated products, or similar industries is a strong plus
- A BA/BS/Master's Degree in the field of user experience, research or related field is preferred but not required

AI Literacy & Tools
As Zepz continues to build AI into how we work, we expect everyone to engage with it as a core part of their role. For this position, we are looking for:
- A genuine curiosity about AI and how it can be applied in your area of work — from accelerating analysis and insight generation, to improving how we design and deliver processes and communications.
- Practical experience using AI tools in a professional context — whether to connect information, draft content, build frameworks, or create insights from data. We want people who actively use AI to increase productivity, not those who are waiting to be told to.
- Strong AI literacy — an understanding of what AI assistants can and cannot do, how to prompt effectively, and how to critically evaluate AI-generated output before using it.
- Awareness of the ethical considerations and responsible use of AI in the workplace, particularly in the context of sensitive data, customer experience, and compliance.
- Prior experience using Claude (Anthropic) is a nice-to-have but not essential — what matters most is that you are genuinely engaged with AI as a tool, comfortable experimenting, and eager to share what works with your wider team.
If you want to join us in our journey to help break barriers in financial access and improve lives globally, there's no better place or time to join.
Our global team of 800+ people is spread across six continents. We aspire to hire the best mix of people from former Olympians to YouTube influencers, and we speak over twenty languages. This incredible diversity isn't a bonus; it's the engine that lets us serve the world.
