Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands (Hybrid)
Type: Full-time (Permanent)
Salary: Competitive & Benefits
Reports to: Design Manager / Lead Designer
Role Summary
You’ll lead end-to-end design on client engagements across web and native iOS/Android, owning problems from discovery to shipped product.
You’ll be an approachable, trusted design voice with client product teams, set the bar for craft and help shape how OxiWorks uses best in class product design across projects.
What you’ll do
- Lead design on multiple client accounts at a time, from framing the problem through to delivery and post-launch iteration
- Design native mobile experiences that respect iOS and Android platform conventions, gestures and accessibility
- Run workshops and innovation sprints with client stakeholders
- Run and synthesise research outputs to validate designs (with support of User Research)
- Use AI tooling to accelerate the work: research synthesis, generating and stress-testing concepts, building coded prototypes and writing content and specs
- Work closely with our Design Engineer (Design Systems) so designs are built from, and feed back into client design systems
- Be a trusted, approachable partner to client teams: build strong relationships, keep stakeholders close to the work, and present design decisions clearly linking them to data and outcomes
- Mentor other designers on the team through pairing and feedback
- Design responsibly within regulation, from safer gambling requirements to healthcare data and accessibility standards

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
