ABOUT CASCADE

Cascade is an AI-native, end-to-end filmmaking platform, built by filmmakers, for filmmakers. In one seamless, web-based environment, creators can go from first idea through script, storyboard, character generation, scene assembly and final edit – without leaving the platform. Our Open Beta is live, and we've moved from launch mode into growth – building a roster of creative partners and an audience of independent filmmakers and directors who are making the case for our platform. The creator economy is $250 billion and growing at 22% a year. Over 50 million filmmakers and creators are drowning in fragmented tools and broken workflows. Cascade replaces the stack.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the UI/UX of Cascade’s AI-powered filmmaking platform. You will design complex creative workflows across project creation, asset management, AI generation, visual editing, collaboration and final delivery. Your goal will be to make powerful filmmaking tools feel clear, intuitive and enjoyable to use. Strong UI/UX and product design experience is essential. Frontend development experience is highly desirable, especially if you can build prototypes or contribute directly to production interfaces.

Please include a link to your online portfolio with your application. We will use this to assess your product thinking, UX process, interaction design and experience designing complex digital products. Applications without a portfolio may not be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own end-to-end product design across Cascade’s key workflows.
  • Design intuitive experiences for timelines, visual editors, media controls and AI-assisted creative tools.
  • Turn complex filmmaking processes into clear, easy-to-follow user journeys.
  • Improve navigation, information architecture and product usability.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and polished interface designs.
  • Design thoughtful loading, empty, error, progress and recovery states.
  • Build and maintain a consistent product design system.
  • Design responsive experiences for desktop and tablet-sized devices.
  • Use customer feedback and usability testing to improve existing workflows.
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure designs are practical, buildable and implemented to a high standard.
  • Where appropriate, contribute to frontend implementation and reusable UI components.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary benchmarked against early-stage London tech.
  • A genuinely exciting product to direct for – built by filmmakers, for filmmakers, at the frontier of AI.
  • Remote working.
  • A team culture built on craft, speed and ambition. We take the work seriously, not ourselves.
  • The chance to define Cascade's creative voice and build the function as we grow.

OUR PRINCIPLES

We hire people who share these values:

  • We build from scratch, we do not maintain the status quo: Builder mindset
  • Everything we do is in service of the storytellers using our platform: Creator-first
  • Speed matters, and so does quality - we do not sacrifice one for the other: Move fast, ship well
  • We say what we think, give feedback clearly, and expect the same in return: Honest and direct
  • We use AI at every level, including in how we work and expect our team to do the same: AI-native

OUR BRAND VALUES

  • Story first. Always. Every decision exists in service of the story. The technology is the means. The story is the thing. Every product decision, every design choice, every line of copy exists to serve one purpose — getting great stories made.
  • Democratise great filmmaking. Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't. Cascade exists to level the playing field — so the best ideas get made regardless of budget, backing or postcode.
  • Supercharge the human. Don't replace them. Storytelling is an art. AI is a tool, not a creative director. The best work comes from people with vision, instinct and an understanding of performance, pacing and story. Cascade is designed to supercharge that talent — not replace it.
  • Slick by design. Relentless by nature. Cascade is built to be powerful, intuitive and genuinely easy to use. And we believe things can always be better, so we'll never stop listening, improving and working to support the people using Cascade.
