Notora Partnership Opportunity
Notora is partnering with a UK commercial finance brokerage that has moved over £100 million to small businesses, some of it approved in under half an hour.
They are hiring their first designer to be part of the core team.
None of their customers have ever seen the product that did it. The speed comes from software the company built itself, scanning a panel of lenders and finding the match while a traditional broker is still returning the first call. All of that sits on the inside.
The Role
A ground-up build. No design system, no existing product surface, no design team. A working business with real customer volume and an empty canvas in front of it.
- You would own the customer journey end to end, from first sketch to release
- Direct access to the people making the decisions rather than three layers of stakeholder management between you and them
What You Would Do
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Design the customer portal from zero: logging in, tracking a live application, receiving updates on progress
- Own UX and UI, from early concepts to production-ready work
- Establish the visual language and the first version of a design system
- Bring a category that has run on forms and phone calls into something people are glad to use
- Work directly with leadership and set the standard for quality
- Ship, measure, and iterate
What They Are Looking For
- Portfolio: end-to-end product work you can explain decision by decision
- Craft: interaction and visual design at a high level
- Zero to one: experience taking a product from nothing to launch
- Domain: fintech or financial services experience is an advantage
- Autonomy: comfortable being the only designer, with no design leadership above you
- Ambition: motivated by building something from scratch

The instruction from leadership was that it should feel as intuitive as opening an iPhone box. Their reference point is Monzo. That is an unusual standard for a finance brokerage, and it is the reason this role is worth a look.
