Senior Product Developer – Sportswear / Activewear / Athleisure Apparel

We are working with our client of more than 22 years. Looking for a senior Apparel Product Developer with experience in Sportswear / Activewear / Athleisure Apparel

Are you an experienced Senior Product Developer with a strong background in sportswear, activewear, athleisure, menswear and womenswear apparel development? Our client is hiring a Senior Product Developer to join a growing product and sourcing team working on globally recognised brands including Reebok. This role is ideal for candidates with expertise in garment construction, technical fabrics, apparel sourcing, supplier management, fit development, tech packs, critical path management, wholesale apparel production, Far East suppliers, performance wear, apparel costing, trims and fabric development. If you thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment and have proven experience delivering high-quality sports apparel collections from concept to production, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Developer, you will play a key role within the Product Development and Sourcing team, managing apparel collections across men’s and women’s categories from concept through to bulk production. You will collaborate closely with design, sourcing, operations and overseas factories to ensure products are delivered on time, within cost and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product development across men’s and women’s sportswear collections
  • Work closely with design teams to execute seasonal collections to a high standard
  • Develop and manage tech packs, measurement charts and line lists
  • Oversee apparel costing, sourcing and supplier allocation
  • Liaise daily with Far East factories and suppliers
  • Approve lab dips, strike-offs, embroideries and PP samples
  • Attend fit sessions and manage garment amendments through all stages
  • Support proto, pre-bulk, presell and SMS sample timelines
  • Ensure all labels, trims, packaging and compliance requirements are accurate
  • Maintain critical path management alongside Operations teams
  • Manage multiple seasons and large apparel collections simultaneously
  • Support collaboration projects from development through production
  • Ensure quality standards across technical sportswear and performance garments

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Apparel Product Development
  • Strong background in sportswear, activewear and athleisure
  • Experience across both menswear and womenswear
  • Excellent knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting
  • Experience with technical fabrics and performance apparel
  • Strong understanding of fit development, grading and garment finishes
  • Experience working with Far East suppliers and factories
  • Previous experience within a wholesale apparel business
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in sports accessories development is advantageous
