Altro - Senior Product Development Project Manager

We're now looking for a Senior Product Development Project Manager to join our Technical team and play a key role in delivering some of our most important strategic projects.

This is an opportunity to lead high-profile projects across product development, sustainability, compliance, process improvement, and operational excellence while helping to strengthen project management capability across the wider business.

What You'll Be Doing

As Senior Project Manager, you'll be responsible for leading complex cross-functional projects from initiation through to successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading technical and business-critical projects across product, process, and operational improvement programs.
  • Managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Driving projects through StageGate and governance processes, ensuring clear decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Providing leadership and accountability across matrix teams and multiple workstreams.
  • Producing clear project reporting, dashboards, and updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of project management tools, systems, and methodologies.
  • Coaching colleagues and project teams on project management best practices.
  • Championing risk management, continuous improvement, and Altro's commitment to Zero Harm.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in experienced project managers ideally from a manufacturing, engineering, product development, infrastructure, transport, technical, or FMCG environment. We're looking for someone who can bring structure, leadership, and momentum to complex projects.

You'll ideally have:

  • A recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, APM Chartered Project Professional, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable project management experience within complex product development environments.
  • Proven success delivering cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working within formal governance frameworks and StageGate-style processes.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Experience improving project management processes, systems, or ways of working.
