Senior Product Engineer | Web + Mobile | 3 days per week in London
Finding somewhere to live should be exciting. The experience of actually finding it often isn't.
This London startup has raised a £2M seed round to build a different kind of property platform, with a growing network of agents, brokers, and developers already signed up ahead of launch.
Instead of discovering homes through grids of listings and static photos, they're building around full-screen video walkthroughs and a personalised feed that learns what people like as they browse.
For buyers and renters, that means getting a much better feel for a home before arranging a viewing. For agents, it means showcasing properties properly and generating better-informed, higher-intent enquiries.
Now they're building out the engineering team.
The Senior Product Engineer Role
You'll join as one of their first senior engineering hires, working directly with the founder and alongside a Staff Backend Engineer.
It's an unusually broad Product Engineering role. You'll have real ownership across:

- The consumer app - React Native and Expo across iOS and Android. You'll work on the personalised feed, search, maps, video, and social features at the heart of the experience.
- The agent app - the product agents use to film properties and manage their stock, making it a critical part of how the platform grows.
- Web and internal products - the website and admin platform, built with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Mobile releases - from TestFlight and Play tracks through to App Store/Google Play submissions, production monitoring, and getting fixes out quickly when they're needed.
What They're Looking For
You don't need to match every part of their stack. They're looking for a strong product engineer who has depth in mobile and enjoys working broadly. You'll ideally bring:
- Strong production experience with React Native and TypeScript, including shipping and maintaining real iOS and Android applications.
- A good eye for product and UX. You care about things like performance, gestures, loading states, and the details that make a mobile product feel great.
- Experience across React/web products, with Next.js useful but not essential.
- Good product judgement. You're comfortable taking a problem, understanding what users need, and deciding how best to solve it.
- An early-stage mindset - you enjoy shipping, learning from users, and improving the product rather than needing every detail specified upfront.

What You'll Get
You'll have considerably more ownership than you'd normally get in a larger engineering team, while joining early enough to influence both the product and how the engineering team develops around it.
They're paying circa £100,000 + equity, with flexibility above that for an exceptional engineer.
The team works together in London 3 days per week.
The interview process is deliberately straightforward: Two conversations and a code test, with the ability to move quickly when there's a strong mutual fit.
