Senior Product Engineer (Mobile & Modern Workplace)
Location: UK-Based (Remote First)
Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required
Travel: Occasional UK travel (typically 1-2 times per quarter)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Engineer (SPE) to play a key role in shaping and governing enterprise-scale Modern Workplace and Mobility solutions within a complex customer environment. This is a strategic and design-focused position with responsibility for High Level Design (HLD) ownership, technical strategy, design governance, and architectural assurance. You will work closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, and technical teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security policies, operational standards, and long-term technology roadmaps.
The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise across mobile device management, endpoint security, modern workplace technologies, and enterprise mobility solutions, combined with strong stakeholder engagement and architectural leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the creation, maintenance, and governance of High-Level Designs (HLDs).
- Define solution architectures, service strategies, and technical roadmaps.
- Support Product Owners in shaping future service evolution and strategic direction.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure alignment with wider business and technology strategy.
- Provide architectural assurance for new services, projects, and significant change initiatives.
- Lead technical evaluations, proof of concepts (PoCs), and innovation activities.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, operational, and supportability requirements.
- Support cross-product design and architectural resilience across:
- Windows Devices
- Virtual Devices
- Mobile Devices
- Specialist Devices
- Act as a technical authority for mobility, endpoint management, and modern workplace technologies.
- Engage with customers, partners, and vendors to influence technical direction and best practice adoption.

Required Technical Experience
Mobility & Endpoint Management
Strong hands-on and design-level experience with:
- Microsoft Intune
- Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Mobile Application Management (MAM)
- Apple Business Manager
- Google Zero Touch
- iOS and iPadOS management
- Android Enterprise management
- macOS management and security
- Mobile security and compliance
- Device lifecycle management
- Enterprise mobility solutions
- Mac application packaging and vulnerability remediation
- Specialist devices, including ruggedised devices and AR/VR technologies
Modern Workplace & User Devices
A good working knowledge of:
- Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Windows Autopilot
- Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Windows 365
- Microsoft 365
Endpoint Management and Security
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Enterprise-scale endpoint services
- Device lifecycle management
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience producing and governing enterprise-level solution designs.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and design governance.
- Experience operating within large, complex enterprise environments.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and operational best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence technical strategy across multiple technology domains.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering, security, and service management.
Essential Requirements
- ✅ Active SC Clearance (mandatory)
- ✅ UK-based and authorised to work in the UK
- ✅ Experience within large enterprise environments
- ✅ Strong architectural design and governance experience
- ✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- ✅ Able to work effectively in a predominantly remote environment
- ✅ Willingness to travel to customer, partner, and vendor sites when required
